I am an Indonesian PhD candidate in Plant Production System group of Wageningen University. I am working for my PhD project about cacao and coffee agroforestry on hillslopes in Indonesia, especially focus on the agro-ecology and farmer management options. This research aims to evaluate the aboveground characteristics in cocoa and coffee-based agroforestry in relation to land management and farmer preferences for companion trees in sustaining ecological benefits and smallholder livelihoods. I also conduct ‘serious game’ to provide a pathway to participatory scenario analysis of the management options available and their likely farm and landscape level consequences for sustainability.
I involved in several project as PhD candidate in: (1) Agroforestry and Forestry (AgFor) Project in Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia under World Agroforestry Centre, ICRAF Southeast Asia coordination; (2) Reclamation of agricultural land after Mt. Kelud eruption: N uptake efficiency in the coffee-cocoa agroforestry system, East Java, Indonesia under Brawijaya University coordination; (3) Scenario Evaluation for Sustainable Agro-forestry Management (SESAM) project
