Profile
"I am a Dutch social scientist with an interest in rural development, land rights and ethnography. I have a background in Southeast Asia Studies and International Development Studies. My research focuses on livelihoods and land rights of farmers in oil palm expansion areas in Indonesia. Currently, I work on the differentiated access to and impact of RSPO certification on oil palm smallholders in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Role project(s)
In the SEnSOR project, I design and coordinate research on differences between oil palm smallholder types in terms of yield, plantation management, socio-economic background and prospects for and impact of sustainability certification.
