I am an assistant professor in the Plant Productions Systems Group and at the Centre for Crop Systems Analysis on the ecophysiology of tropical perennial crops (cacao and coffee). My research interests are broad, ranging from the ecophysiology of perennials, towards the design of climate-smart production systems and the assessment of ecosystem services that agroforestry systems provide. I combine field measurements with crop growth models, statistical models, and spatial datasets.
In the CocoaSoils project, I am involved as supervisor of PhD student Paulina Asante [link]. Paulina works on the effects of climate change on cocoa production in Ghana. In the SESAM project, I am involved as supervisor of PhD students Rika Ratna Sari and Andrew Miccolis.
